How we advance sustainable healthcare
We optimize user journeys, reinvent care models and transform health systems
Falck’s purpose is to advance sustainable healthcare to meet people’s changing needs. We wish to improve patients’ quality of life, protect the climate, and work smarter. This means taking a different look at patients and transforming the way we deliver our services. For example, if we can appropriately treat people at home instead of driving them to the hospital, it will improve their wellbeing and at the same time reduce carbon emissions.
We strive to
- Optimize user journeys
- Reinvent care models
- Transform health systems
As an example, we are reducing emissions by converting to alternative energy sources, adjusting our care models to test new tools like telehealth, and exploring new care models such as monitoring patients outside of hospitals.

Optimize user journeys
We continually refine our internal and external operations, adopting smarter tools and improving capabilities to meet evolving standards in social and environmental sustainability, while also enhancing patient and employee experiences.
For example, we demonstrate this commitment is by converting our fleet to alternative energy, offering consultations via telehealth, and integrating AI into customer service calls.

Reinvent care models
We reinvent how care is delivered by designing new services and care teams. Our models bring care closer to patients, expanding access to healthcare and proactively improving outcomes by addressing challenges before they escalate.
We do this through such initiatives as at-home urgent care (Falck Mobile Care), treatment at home and a youth mental-health service called SundtSind.

Transform health systems
We drive systemic change by inspiring the reshaping of healthcare structures, ensuring that patient needs remain at the core. Our vision fosters a more sustainable, equitable, and patient-centered healthcare ecosystem that redefines how care is delivered.
For example, this commitment would be reflected in designing a new pre-hospital system and broadly implementing healthcare at home in healthcare systems.
