Secure diverse, equal and safe workplace

Falck

To take good care of others, we need to take good care of ourselves

Falck is a people business, and our workforce is our most important asset. We are dedicated to fostering an employee-centric culture that prioritizes employee well-being and development. This means creating an environment where every individual feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive, so they can maintain a healthy and sustainable career. This commitment extends across countries and cultures, embracing the diversity of thought that all our employees represent.

Promote employee engagement

Employees at Falck are at the heart of delivering critical emergency and healthcare services to communities. A deep sense of engagement is critical, as it enables our teams to excel and thrive in their roles and provide the highest standard of care. To help ensure that Falck continuously improves as a healthy and attractive place to work, we gather crucial insights through our global employee engagement survey each year.

In 2025, our engagement score increased to 77, from 76 in 2024, exceeding Falck’s target by one point. Going forward, our target remains 76 for the global engagement score.

Ensure diversity, equality and inclusion

We strive to secure a workplace with a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture where employees are treated with respect. Working within different business areas and cultures, we know that different skills, ideas and approaches are key to the success of our business.

Because of this, fostering inclusion, promoting equality, and representing the diverse communities we serve are both ethical and business priorities.

In Falck, it is the shared responsibility of all employees regardless of geography or role to contribute to an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued and respected. In 2025, the scores evaluating Inclusive Workplace and Respectful Treatment from the annual Global Engagement survey increased by 1 point each to a total score of 85 and 81, respectively. This puts these two statements in top three for highest scored statements in 2025.

To promote gender diversity in management and generate a positive cascading effect, we have set targets for equal representation at a minimum of 40% of the underrepresented gender at three levels of the Falck organization; the Board of Directors, Executive Management, and Senior Management.

Improve safety performance

The nature of our work carries inherent risks, which we actively manage with preventive measures. We foster a culture where health and safety are embedded in our daily work. This protects our employees, empowering them to focus on improving and saving the lives of others.

Although incidents are not entirely avoidable, we are committed to making them as infrequent and minor as possible.

Lost Time Injury Rate is chosen as a KPI in the sustainability strategy, and so is the number of fatalities. We have a LTIR target of less than 8.81 by 2027. The target for work-related fatalities in Falck is zero.

Secure fair working conditions

To ensure fair working conditions, we maintain a continual dialogue with unions for comprehensive collective bargaining agreements and provide competitive wages in compliance with local laws and industry standards. Beyond formal agreements, we actively promote a healthy work-life balance by using employee feedback to foster constructive team communication.

Enhance social impact

Every day, we go to work to improve and save lives, and we want to innovate and enhance access to healthcare for more people.

We create value in society by delivering services that help to ease critical moments, enable access, and build resilient communities. The number of services is a key part of our sustainability strategy.

Each time we complete an ambulance patient encounter, provide a treatment or deliver rehabilitation services, we typically improve at least one person’s life – sometimes with significant impact.

We deliver individual and societal care within preventive, acute, and rehabilitative care. For instance, our healthcare professionals provide psychological and physiological help, enabling people to return to work faster and continue a healthy working life. Our patient transport service brings patients to and from hospitals and clinics, and doctors provide online consultations as well as treating patients directly in their homes. Highly skilled ambulance staff save lives and care for patients’ well-being, and our dedicated fire staff prevent accidents and loss of life.

We have included the number of services delivered as a KPI in our sustainability strategy because they are vital services to society. In 2025, our highly skilled staff delivered 9.0 million services within our core business.
