With 25 years of EMS experience, Cole brings real-world expertise to EMT training, combining hands-on skills with practical knowledge from emergency response, patient care, tactical medicine, search and rescue, and wildfire deployments. His engaging approach builds confidence, teamwork, and decision-making skills while preparing students for EMT certification and future careers in emergency medicine, firefighting, or paramedicine.
Meet Our Faculty: Peter Nguyen
With extensive EMS field and training experience, Peter combines his work as an EMT and paramedic with a passion for education. In the Accelerated EMT course, he connects core concepts with realistic scenarios and hands-on practice, helping students build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for EMT certification and future careers in EMS, firefighting, nursing, or medicine.
Meet Our Director: Michael Kaduce
Michael Kaduce, Director of the Falck Health Institute, leads its educational programs, faculty, and research initiatives. With experience as a firefighter, paramedic, and EMS educator at institutions including the University of Iowa and UCLA, he combines real-world response, education, and research to strengthen EMS training and prepare future first responders to deliver exceptional patient care.

Shant Najarian, Administrator at the Falck Health Institute, oversees operations and supports the institute’s growth and strategic goals. With an MBA and experience across startups and leading organizations such as Cox Enterprises and UCLA Health, he focuses on efficient systems, continuous improvement, and providing students, instructors, and staff with the resources needed for a high-quality educational experience.
